Recommendation Letter

October 27, 2016 To Whom It May Concern: As an instructor in Leadership and Teacher Education in the College of Education at the University of South Alabama, I am writing you in support of Paula Holt and her desire to become a teacher at your school.   Ms. Holt was a student of mine during her Tier 2 experience in our teacher education studies. She was in my Teaching Reading course, where she learned to apply best practice instructional methods in the areas of reading and writing.  Paula achieved above average scores in this course and demonstrated competence and creativity in the area of teaching literacy.  She maintained a professional attitude, as well as being punctual and submitting assignments on time. It is my professional opinion that Ms. Holt will make a fine addition to any elementary school faculty. I hope that you will consider her for a teaching position. Please don’t hesitate to contact me for further information. Best Regards, ...

Philosophy

Paula Rascoe Teaching Philosophy Three aspects that will be found in my classroom are uniqueness, leaders, and learners. As an educator, my philosophy is to teach in a way that creates a love for learning to build lifelong learners. Each of the listed aspects will create a classroom that produces students who love to learn. Once a student has a love for learning, he or she becomes a lifelong learner, and when a student is a lifelong learner, he or she has a bright future ahead.   Uniqueness is something that every student will add to my classroom. Each child will bring his or her own unique personality and learning habits to the classroom. It is my job to help them feel secure in that and mold my teachings around them as well. In my classroom, each student will be accepted and loved. They will be taught to embrace that uniqueness and learn to their full potential. It is those unique personalities that will pave our future world, and as their teacher I will assist them in rea...

Behavior Management

Clip Chart: This is a great way for students to monitor their behavior. I would also have a calendar in the students take home folder. At the end of the day, I will put a mark in the color that corresponds to what the student was on at the end of the day. The parents are to initial by the mark each night. This is a great way for parents to monitor their child's behavior at school and another way to know that parents are checking folders on a daily basis.       Class Dojo:

Parent Contact

Parent News Letters: Remind 101 App: This is an app that allows teachers to communicate with PARENTS. I say that because this is a great tool to communicate with elementary students parents not the students. The teacher can use this app directly on their phone. It is very similar to text messaging. The great thing about Remind 101 is that the teacher can activate do not disturb. This way the teacher can have normal business hours to communicate with parents.
