Teaching Philosophy
Three aspects that will be found in my classroom are uniqueness, leaders, and learners. As an educator, my philosophy is to teach in a way that creates a love for learning to build lifelong learners. Each of the listed aspects will create a classroom that produces students who love to learn. Once a student has a love for learning, he or she becomes a lifelong learner, and when a student is a lifelong learner, he or she has a bright future ahead.
Uniqueness is something that every student will add to my classroom. Each child will bring his or her own unique personality and learning habits to the classroom. It is my job to help them feel secure in that and mold my teachings around them as well. In my classroom, each student will be accepted and loved. They will be taught to embrace that uniqueness and learn to their full potential. It is those unique personalities that will pave our future world, and as their teacher I will assist them in reaching their full potential.
In my classroom, the students will be the leaders. They will lead themselves and each other to success. Having student leaders not only allows them to teach their fellow classmates, it also allows the students to teach themselves. Leaders in the classroom, allow for beneficial group work. Each student can learn something from every student not only academically, but socially as well. Leaders are needed to shape society and grow.
I will allow my students to have an enjoyable experience learning. Hands on activities
and group learning will be common in my classroom. If learning becomes fun for students, they will love to learn. When students are excited about learning, they will be more enthusiastic and give 100 percent effort. Students will enjoy coming to class and ready to be a productive student to better themselves to lead our society in the future.  When students are learning through exploration, it is based off the theory of Pragmatism. Pragmatism focuses on active self learning as well as engaging in problem- solving, social tasks.
When students accept their uniqueness, become leaders, and enjoy learning, they will encourage others to do the same. This will allow for a classroom that accepts everyone for who they are and not what they see. The leaders provide social skills to take charge and provide for their classroom. When learning is fun, the whole class is engaged and producing higher order thinking. If the classroom is functioning as a family, the learning ability is endless. My classroom philosophy is mostly related to the theories of Pragmatism. I am focused on growth of individuals and how it will shape our future. I am want each student to be socially aware of their surroundings of acceptance.
